You have to
ask yourself the most important question you can ask yourself.
And that is, how can I create a business that works
without me? How can I create a business that will
perform the very same way every single time no matter
where it is, or where I am? And in asking that question
you come face to face with the only answer possible. Rather
than doing the work in your business yourself you're going
to have to find a way to get it done through other people.
And the only way to get it done through other people in
a predictable fashion is to create a system that works.
A system that works without you. And if you
were to do that when you’re done you’d have four options
few business owners
have today.
First, you’d
be able to hire someone to work your system for you so
you’d be free; free to go anywhere you’d want to go.
Knowing in your heart that the business that you leave
behind is paying for that freedom. Like a valuable
piece of income property no matter where you are its appreciating
and working for you. Second, you’d be able to sell
it, but for significantly more than its presently worth.
Because you could show the prospective buyer how
it works. Third, you’d be able to franchise it.
Or open up several more just like it. Which ever
you wanted to. And finally, if the other three options
aren’t of your choosing you could still go to work every
day but now with a system in place. Freeing you
to do the work you’d love to do, rather than the work
you have to do. Freeing you from the irony of routine.
